Pastoral Counseling Therapy Services
Pastoral counseling offers a unique form of counseling, which uses spiritual resources as well as psychological understanding for healing and growth. Counseling is based on the belief that the individual's spiritual, mental and emotional health is interrelated - personal wholeness is the goal.
At Lutheran Counseling Services people find a safe, caring environment where licensed mental health professionals on a confidential basis provide Pastoral Counseling. Our Pastoral Counseling is available to the entire Central Florida community. All of LCS' staff average over 20 years in their professional and counseling work.
All are welcome.
Some of the issues addressed through pastoral counseling include:
Anxiety Anger Management
Grief and Loss
Marital/Relationship Issues
Depression
Child/Family Issues
Trauma Recovery
Personal Growth
Individual Therapy: One-on-one therapy provides the individual with the understanding and skills necessary to creatively address personal issues and concerns.
Couples Therapy: Couples work with the counselor to grow in their understanding of each other, foster more effective communication, learn to resolve crisis/conflict, and develop more meaningful intimacy in their relationships.
Family Therapy: Families develop an understanding of how they function, identifying the needs of individual members and developing the skills to strengthen the family unit.
Child/Adolescent: School-age children and older meet with a trained child therapist using play therapy and other therapeutic techniques to assess and work toward resolution of emotional conflicts and behavior issues.
Mediation: A Certified Supreme Court of FL Family Mediator provides mediation for couples in dispute or divorce. Mediation is a voluntary settlement process which allows individuals to control decisions about mutual assets and responsibilities and provide direct input for the documents for the Court.
A standard fee is charged for services at the time of appointment. Many health insurance plans are accepted. Financial assistance is available and adjusted according to resources for those in need.
